If you receive a phone call or a text message that reads “Stock Yards and Trust alert” or similar wording, do not respond to the call or text. These fraudulent call and text attempts were NOT originated by Stock Yards Bank & Trust. Do not call the number listed in the text. This phone number has now been shut down by the Federal Trade Commission.
These text and phone call attempts are being sent randomly to the general Louisville metropolitan area phone numbers. Many non-SYBT customers are also receiving these texts and phone calls. In other words, the scammers do not know where you bank. The scam is designed to trick unsuspecting people into giving their debit card number, PIN number and expiration date regardless of where they might bank.
To reiterate, Stock Yards Bank has NOT experienced a breach of security. Our bank name is being used by scammers that have acquired access to publicly available phone numbers in the Louisville metro area. (Read more)
