Director of Wealth Management & Trust
Member of the Board of Directors for Stock Yards Bancorp, Inc.

Kathy joined Stock Yards Bank in 1992, and under her leadership and direction, Wealth Management & Trust has grown from $190 million in assets under management to over $7.1 billion, garnering her national recognition and respect in the banking industry. In her early 30s, she became the first woman and youngest person to serve on the Board of Directors for Stock Yards Bancorp, Inc. and is proud to still serve in that capacity today. Her extensive trust experience includes practicing law with Brown, Todd, & Heyburn in the area of estate planning and trust estate law and from 1989 to 1991, Kathy served as Vice President of the Trust Division at PNC Bank, where she specialized in investment management, estate and personal financial planning. Today, as Director of Wealth Management & Trust at Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, Kathy is responsible for overseeing Personal Wealth Management, Institutional Management, Retirement Plan Services, and Financial Planning.

Kathy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana, and her Juris Doctor from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. She has received numerous awards and honors including the 2005 University of Louisville Distinguished Alumna Award, and being recognized in U.S. Banker Magazine in 2007 as one of the “The 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” and “25 Women to Watch.”  Today’s Woman Magazine named her “Most Admired Woman” and Louisville Magazine named her as one of their “Women to Watch.” These accolades motivate her to share what she has learned about the corporate world with others so they can benefit from her experiences, personally and professionally.

In addition to her responsibilities at the bank, Kathy is involved in many civic and community causes, believing firmly that giving is essential to living a life of purpose.  She has been involved in a leadership role with The Home of the Innocents, the Cerebral Palsy K.I.D.S. Center, the Louisville Estate Planning Council, Junior League of Louisville, The Kentucky Derby Festival, University of Louisville Alumni Board, and Deferred and Planned Giving for the Louisville Zoo. Kathy currently serves on the board for St. Joseph Children’s Home and is a member of the Financial Literacy Advisory Council for the Jean Frazier Leadership Institute at Sacred Heart Schools. She has been a frequent lecturer on various financial topics and was an adjunct professor early in her career for the University of Louisville and Jefferson County Continuing Education Program.

Kathy grew up on a farm in Western Kentucky where she gained a love and appreciation for the great outdoors. When it’s time to relax  Kathy enjoys spending time at her happy place, “Sunset Pointe” at Lake Barkley on her boat “B’Anchors Hours” with her husband, Billy, of 38 years and her two children. She is an animal lover who dotes on her two rescue Golden Retrievers, Annie & Bella, enjoys watching college basketball, and delights in spending time with friends over dinner.
