Dear Clients, Partners, and Friends,

As we conclude the third quarter of 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on a year that continues to test and reaffirm the value of discipline, perspective, and partnership. Despite the headlines—from persistent geopolitical tensions to ongoing debates around trade and global supply chains - the markets have demonstrated impressive resilience, recapturing much of their strength from earlier-year volatility and positioning investors for a more constructive close to the year.

At Stock Yards Bank Wealth Management & Trust, we believe that clarity comes through planning, and confidence comes from preparation. Our message throughout the year has been consistent: stay strategic, stay diversified, and don’t let short-term noise derail long-term goals. Clients who embraced this guidance during the first half downturns were well positioned to benefit from the rebound that has defined much of the third quarter.

Looking Ahead: Year-End Planning in Focus

With the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) this summer, we now operate within a clearer tax and estate planning landscape that presents the opportunity for thoughtful implementation of planning strategies as year-end approaches. From reaffirming estate plans to implementing new strategies that take full advantage of the terms of the OBBBA provisions, the final months of 2025 offer a powerful window to act.

Our Trust Counsel and Financial Planning teams are fully apprised of the benefits offered by the OBBBA and stand ready to assist clients in leveraging tools such as:

  • Optimized gifting strategies and irrevocable trust design
  • Enhanced SALT deduction opportunities for high-income households
  • Strategic income tax bracket management and Roth conversions
  • Refined charitable structures like CRTs, CLTs, and Donor-Advised Funds

Our Commitment to You

As always, our deepest thanks go to you - our clients - for your continued trust. Your partnership inspires our team to show up every day with energy, diligence, and purpose. And your engagement allows us to deliver the customized planning and fiduciary guidance that sets Stock Yards Bank & Trust apart.

We remain firmly committed to your financial wellbeing - through market highs and lows, regulatory shifts, and every season of life. As we enter the final stretch of the year, we encourage you to reach out to your SYB advisor to revisit your planning goals, explore year-end opportunities, and prepare confidently for what lies ahead.

Together, we’ll continue building a future rooted in clarity, stewardship, and care.

Warm regards,
