Chris Bensing
Chris Bensing brings more than 13 years of banking and financial services experience to Stock Yards Bank and Trust. A Louisville native, Chris began his career in retail banking and steadily advanced into licensed banking and specialized wealth management roles. During his time with PNC, he developed broad experience serving clients across multiple areas of financial services. In his most recent role, he managed complex Private Bank relationships for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, helping clients navigate sophisticated financial planning needs with confidence and clarity.
Chris earned a master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Murray State University and is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. He believes effective wealth management is built on strong partnerships, proactive communication, and disciplined planning. Understanding that life continually evolves through changing tax laws, family dynamics, and economic conditions, Chris works closely with clients to regularly review and refine their financial strategies, helping simplify complexity and create long-term confidence.
Outside of his professional work, Chris is passionate about community involvement and financial education. He regularly volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Dare to Care Food Bank, and he has led financial literacy sessions for students in JCPS.
Chris resides in Charlestown, Indiana, with his wife, Angela, and their two sons, Elijah and Hunter. Outside the office, he enjoys fishing with family, gardening with his wife, occasionally coaching his sons teams, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
