Mike Harris

Mike joined Stock Yards Bank in 2025 as Regional Manager of Wealth Management and Trust, bringing 24 years of financial services experience gained at regional and national banks. His background includes leadership and financial advisory roles. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in Finance with a Personal Financial Planning focus and a minor in Economics from Ball State University, and an MBA with dual majors in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is also a Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.

Driven by a desire to positively impact families and help them achieve their financial aspirations, Mike was drawn to Stock Yards Bank's collaborative environment, which aligns with his personal values. Inspired by his grandfather and father's early lessons in investing, Mike believes that building and preserving wealth involves more than just smart investments. His philosophy centers on aligning financial strategies with clients' life goals, family values, and legacy intentions. He emphasizes the importance of regularly reviewing estate plans, trust structures, and asset allocations to ensure wealth grows and transitions smoothly across generations.

Actively involved in his community, Mike serves as President of the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation (board member since 2019) and is a member of the Bank Insurance & Security Association’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion committee. He also contributes to Ball State University's Miller College of Business as a Finance Advisory Board Member and speaker at their annual Dialogue Days. Previously, Mike dedicated his time to the boards of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Indiana Chapter, Alternatives Inc. Resource Committee, Anderson Rotary Club, United Way of Madison County, and Boy Scouts of America – Sakima District.

Outside of his professional and community commitments, Mike cherishes time spent with his wife, three children, and their pets, Archie the dog and Fiona the cockatiel. He enjoys cheering on his children at their sports events, playing golf and tennis, and traveling.
