Meet Kimberly Hudson, Wealth Advisor
With a career at Stock Yards Bank spanning over 23 years, Kimberly’s journey is a testament to growth, dedication, and a "client-first" philosophy. What started in 2002 as a search for a stable career with a reputable local bank has blossomed into a lifelong mission to provide financial security and peace of mind to the families she serves.
Kimberly is what many call an "SYB Lifer." She has touched almost every aspect of the banking experience, starting as a teller before moving to the desk where she opened accounts and handled other customer needs. In 2006, she transitioned to the Wealth Management & Trust department, serving as a Client Service Associate while rigorously pursuing her Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation, which she earned in 2012.
This "ground-up" experience gives Kimberly a unique perspective. She doesn't just manage portfolios; she understands the mechanics of your financial life from the inside out.
For Kimberly, the most rewarding part of being a Wealth Advisor isn't the data—it’s the people. Over the decades, the line between "clients" and "family" has happily blurred.
“Helping my clients and being there for them is what motivates me,” Kimberly says. “Many of my clients are like family now. That was especially apparent with the arrival of my daughter, Hannah; so many of them celebrated her arrival right along with me.”

When she isn’t crafting personalized financial strategies, Kimberly stays busy at home with her husband of 21 years, Jeremy. Their lives recently got a lot more exciting with the birth of their daughter, Hannah, last June.
The Hudson household is a hub of activity, rounded out by their two beloved cats, Buddy and Momo. While her hobby of strength training is temporarily on the back burner as she enjoys life as a new mother, Kimberly still shares a unique passion with Jeremy: restoring classic vehicles. Whether it’s tractors or her current project—a 1969 D1100 International pickup truck—Kimberly’s love for restoration reflects the same patience and attention to detail she applies to her clients' long-term financial goals.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Evansville and has been a Certified Financial Planner® for over a decade. Her 23 years of experience at Stock Yards Bank & Trust have made her a specialist in personalized wealth strategies and relationship-based advising. Whether you are planning for retirement or navigating a major life transition, Kimberly’s blend of deep institutional knowledge and genuine heart makes her an invaluable partner in your financial journey

Meet Hunter T. Ellington, Trust Investment Advisor Manager
Hunter T. Ellington is a Trust Investment Advisor Manager who brings over a decade of wealth management expertise and a passion for proactive planning to our team.
Hunter joined Stock Yards Bank five years ago during a pivotal moment for the financial industry. While many institutions were retreating to remote operations during the pandemic, Hunter noticed that Stock Yards remained steadfastly available to its clients. He recalls that seeing the bank’s dedication from the outside made it clear he needed to be part of the team. He believes that the core of Wealth Management is the ability to meet client needs during times of uncertainty, a standard he felt no one met quite like Stock Yards Bank.
With more than 10 years of experience spanning Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management, Hunter offers a holistic perspective on his clients' financial lives. He is a graduate of Lambuth University and has furthered his expertise through the ABA National Trust School and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. As a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), Hunter specializes in creating "master plans" that integrate every facet of a client’s financial journey, from daily banking to long-term fiduciary goals.

For Hunter, the motivation to excel comes from the people he serves and the family he goes home to in Shelbyville, KY. Whether he is coaching his children's sports teams or spending time on the family farm, Hunter finds that his role as a husband to Natalee and a father to Catherine, Conner, and Hudson—along with their 15-year-old black lab, Hippo—reinforces the daily importance of his work.
His commitment to service extends well beyond the office. Hunter is an active member of the CFA Society of Louisville and the Young Professionals Association of Louisville. He also dedicates his time to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels as a member of the Council of Ambassadors, and supports organizations such as Hope Scarves, Golf House Kentucky, and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
When asked for one piece of advice for his clients, Hunter’s answer is simple: Keep looking forward. "I’m a planner by nature, but my job reminds me often that if we don’t plan, it won’t happen," Hunter says. "Planning for retirement doesn’t just mean ‘save money.’ It means asking: What do you want to do? What do you hope to accomplish this year? Plan a trip. Plan a dinner. Make a plan for 2026. If you have a vision, we can help you build the path to get there."
While Kimberly and Hunter bring their own unique backgrounds and specialized certifications to the table, they share a common thread: a belief that wealth management is about more than just numbers—it’s about preparing for the moments that matter most. At Stock Yards Bank & Trust, we take pride in being a constant presence through market shifts and life’s major milestones. Whether you are welcoming a new addition to the family, planning your next big adventure, or securing your legacy, our team is honored to be your trusted partner. We encourage you to reach out to your advisor today to ensure your "master plan" is ready for everything 2026 and beyond has in store.
