Advisor Spotlight: Mike Arnold

Help us welcome Mike Arnold to the Stock Yards Bank family! We're excited to introduce Mike as our new Manager of Fixed Income. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team.

Mike's dedication to his craft, coupled with his passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals, makes him a valuable asset to our firm. Mike joins us from First Sentier Investors, where he served as Co-Lead of Credit Research. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Mike has a deep understanding of fixed income investments and a proven track record of success. His previous roles at Invesco and First Sentier have equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex market conditions and provide clients with sound investment advice.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mike also holds an MBA from Bellarmine University. His military service, combined with his professional experience, has instilled in him a strong commitment to discipline, analysis, and strategic planning.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike is also committed to giving back to his community. He serves as Chair of the Finance Council at Holy Trinity Church, volunteers with the Honor Flight, and remains actively involved in various charitable endeavors.

When asked what motivates him at work, Mike emphasized the importance of a purpose-driven environment and the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues. He also shared a piece of advice that he often offers to clients: "Start preparing for the future today – do not put off to tomorrow what needs to be addressed today in a very methodical manner."

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new cultures, and indulging in his passion for astronomy and bourbon. He also cherishes quality time with his family, including his two daughters, who are both pursuing successful careers in the military and academia.
